Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence: Under Florida Statute 741.30, Domestic Violence means any assault, aggravated assault, battery, aggravated battery, sexual assault, sexual battery, stalking, aggravated stalking, kidnapping, false imprisonment, or any criminal offense resulting in physical injury or death of a family member, household member or one who is residing in the same single dwelling unit.

These acts could and most likely will result in an injunction being filed against the alleged criminal spouse, ex-spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, domestic partner; where you will be ordered by a Judge to stay way from the home, person and workplace of the other. No phone calls, no emails, no text messages no communication by yourself or 3rd person acting on your behalf. A violation of an Injunction could lead to contempt of Court charges and a Charge of Aggravated Stalking.
